Railway Interiors EXPO ‘Open Technology & Ideas Forum’ is a Free-to-Attend three day symposium which will be taking place this year on the 4,5 & 6th November 2008 at the Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands.
Originally launched in 2004, this annual event has now cemented its position as a must-attend global meeting place for those involved in the purchase, design, fitting out and management of rail-car interiors. The previous ‘Open Technology & Ideas Forums’ have been well subscribed, with industry leaders presenting current and future requirements, trends, developments and innovations that are underway for enhancing the passenger traveling experience.
With the 2008 forum in mind, the organiser's of Railway Interiors Expo are now looking for all leading rolling stock manufacturers, operators, designers, suppliers, representatives of universities, research institutes and private-sector companies to propose presentations within one or more of the following sectors:
- Rail car interior design - Space, comfort and the passenger experience
- Seating technology, materials and design
- WiFi, Infotainment and passenger information systems
- Fire safety, standards and crash worthiness
- Innovative lighting design
- Light weighting techniques - Composites and materials used
- Refurbishment – Reusable and sustainable resources and efficient maintenance
As a speaker your audience will be predominantly CEO's, Project Managers & Buyers of light rail, urban, suburban, regional and high-speed passenger railcar equipment and services for new build, refurbishment, and day-to-day customer service and operations.

Please note that we will not be including any corporate profile type presentations into the program – The papers most likely to be included will be those focusing on a recent new product and service innovations or those based on an application story or case study.
Twenty-five minutes will be available for each presentation, which must be presented in English due to the international audience that attends.
